Week 2 Recap

Prodigy 14, Wave 0

The Prodigy’s defense pitched a shutout behind Myla Somerville’s 2 interceptions and a big-time performance from quarterback Jennell Thomas, who tossed two scores. Despite another 100-yard outing from Karen Mulligan, the Wave struggled in the red zone.

Panthers 35, Glory 9

The Panthers extended their win streak to 11 games behind another dominant performance from Jenea Walker (67 rushing yards, 1 TD) and a breakout passing day from Melyse Brown (163 yards, 1 TD). The Panthers’ defense, anchored by Takera Mitchell’s interception and Shardonay Jenkins’ sack, kept Kansas City in check all night.

Truth 26, Avengers 0

Atlanta’s first win of the season came with emphasis. Renee Langlais and Ebony Minter combined for over 200 total yards, while the defense smothered the Avengers. Shavonne Verdree and Angie Patton were everywhere, combining for over 30 tackles.

Spartans 42, Majestics 0

In a clash of heavyweights, the Spartans made a statement. Destanie Yarbrough led the league in touchdowns with three, and Michelle Angel added 135 yards and 2 TDs through the air. The defense was just as dominant, notching multiple sacks and keeping Seattle off the board.

Bandits 13, Mambas 6

In a gritty, physical battle, Denver earned its first win of the season. Lydia Morgan and Grace Cooper paced the ground game, while Brittany Jones sealed it with a key interception. The Mambas got 134 all-purpose yards from Sakendra Gabriel, who continues to be one of the league’s top rushers.

Silver Stars 13, Ravens 0

Las Vegas leaned on defense and special teams, with four players recording sacks and Kristin Carter punching in a touchdown. The Ravens struggled to find rhythm despite a strong game from Amber O'Connor on defense.

Trojans 0, Winds 0

Trojans versus Winds was canceled due to inclement weather in Tennessee. The game is expected to be rescheduled during a bye week. Week 3 Matchups

San Diego Rebellion at Seattle Majestics

Saturday, April 12 – 6:00 PM PT

Location: French Field, Kent, WA

Why You Should Watch: The Rebellion haven’t played since dropping 40 in Week 1. The Majestics are coming off a tough shutout loss. Expect a physical clash, with Regina Escoto Macias looking to extend her rushing dominance.

Utah Falconz at Las Vegas Silver Stars

Saturday, April 12 – 6:00 PM PT

Location: Mater Academy East, Las Vegas, NV

Why You Should Watch: Both teams have one loss. Ty Rodriguez will need to find consistency in the air, while the Falconz try to break through offensively with help from Sara Galica and Renate Meckl.

Tennessee Trojans at Jersey Shore Wave

Saturday, April 12 – 7:00 PM ET

Location: Hinchliffe Stadium, Paterson, NJ

Why You Should Watch: After a not seeing the endzone for a few weeks, both teams are hungry. Karen Mulligan still leads the league in passing yards with 30% more attempts than any other QB. The Trojans will test her with one of the most physical secondaries in the league.

Houston Mambas at Mississippi Panthers

Saturday, April 12 – 7:00 PM CT

Location: Madison Ridgeland Academy, Madison, MS

Why You Should Watch: Mississippi is rolling, but the Mambas have a serious backfield threat in Sakendra Gabriel. Can Houston be the team to finally slow down the Panthers’ offense?

Texas Elite Spartans at LA Legends

Saturday, April 12 – 6:00 PM PT

Location: Warren High School, Downey, CA

Why You Should Watch: This one has fireworks written all over it. Two of the most explosive offenses in the league go head-to-head. Watch for Destanie Yarbrough and Meagan Curtis to be impressive on the ground.

Washington Prodigy at Chicago Winds

Saturday, April 12 – 6:00 PM CT

Location: Elmhurst University, Langhorst Field, Elmhurst, IL

Why You Should Watch: Two undefeated teams meet in a must-watch showdown. The Prodigy defense has allowed just 17 points in two games, while the Winds offense, led by Sarah Teubner, looks for redemption after not hitting the field in week 2.

Players to Watch – Week 3 Spotlight

  • Destanie Yarbrough (Spartans) – Leads the league in touchdowns. She’s the difference-maker.

  • Regina Escoto Macias (Rebellion) – Still the top rusher in the league after one week? She returns in Week 3 to remind everyone why.

  • Karen Mulligan (Wave) – Leads the league in passing yards, but she’s looking to turn those stats into wins.

  • Shavonne Verdree (Truth) – 17 tackles in Week 2. A disruptive force all over the field.

  • Janea Walker (Panthers) – One of the most efficient backs in the league, averaging nearly 8 yards a carry, with 3 TDs.
