Introducing WNFC’s “Run the Play” Campaign: Empowering Women Through Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time when we come together to support, educate, and take action for the health and well-being of women everywhere.

At the Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC), we know that in both football and life, having a solid playbook can make all the difference. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our latest social campaign: “Run the Play”.

What is “Run the Play”?

"Run the Play" is a breast cancer awareness campaign designed to educate and empower women with one simple but life-changing skill: how to conduct a breast self-examination. By kicking off during the second week of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we aim to reach 10,000 women with the information they need to prioritize breast health.

We believe that taking charge of your health is just like running a key play on the field—something that should be done with confidence, determination, and the right knowledge. Through "Run the Play," we will provide step-by-step guidance on performing self-examinations, to spread awareness and promote early detection.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women worldwide. Early detection can save lives, and breast self-examination is often the first step toward recognizing any changes that could be a sign of breast cancer. Our goal is to help women feel comfortable and empowered to know their bodies, recognize early warning signs, and seek medical care when needed.

The Playbook: How It Works

Throughout October, WNFC will use our social media channels to share engaging content to amplify and educate women about the importance of breast self-examinations. With easy-to-follow instructions, we’re breaking down the "play" so every woman can take part. We’re also encouraging our community to share this vital information because every share has the potential to help save a life.

The WNFC is committed to the health of our players, our fans, and all women in our community. We want you to be part of this movement. Follow along on our social platforms, learn the steps, and share the knowledge. Together, let’s help 10,000 women run the play for better breast health.

Breast cancer awareness isn’t just a campaign for us, it’s about impacting lives.

Stay tuned, stay educated, and let’s make a difference together.
