Game On! WNFC Announces Date for Highly Anticipated National Tryout Day

GAME ON! The WNFC is thrilled to announce that National Tryout Day is set for October 12, 2024. Now in its sixth year, this annual event continues to grow in size and significance, reflecting the rising momentum and excitement surrounding women’s football across the nation. As the WNFC’s pipeline of talent expands, this day has become the opportunity for the league's future stars to showcase their skills and earn a coveted spot on a WNFC roster.

National Tryout Day is a pivotal moment for the league, as all WNFC players become free agents at the end of each regular season. Teams work diligently to retain their veteran talent, but the offseason always brings surprises that can shift the balance of power in each division.

With major roster moves already making headlines, the stage is set for more All-Star free agents to announce their new homes. While some teams maintain continuity, others will take bold steps towards securing a trip to the 2025 IX Cup championship game.

On this day, over 900 women across 17 states will put their athleticism to the test in combine-style drills, all vying for a spot on a WNFC roster for the upcoming season, which kicks off in April 2025.
